Maui, Hawaii – “Halloween in Lahaina” returns to world famous Front Street on Wednesday, October 31, 2018.

This year’s highlights include the 40th Annual Keiki Halloween Costume Parade sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Lahaina starting at 4:00pm. Keiki are invited to come in costume and parade down Front Street to Campbell Park led by the Lahainaluna High School Marching Band. The parade organizes and begins at Front & Papalaua Streets near the Outlets of Maui.

Campbell Park will open at noon selling the official Halloween in Lahaina T-shirt. Ono grindz start at 4pm. This Halloween will be a special curated Halloween Arts Event along Front Street with a strong Keiki Focus.

Remember to wear your most creative Halloween costume and enter the Annual Adult Costume Contest.

The Maui Police Department would like to remind attendees that costumes should not include items such as sabers, metal rods, or firearm or firearm replicas. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited on streets, sidewalks and parks. Attendees that choose to consume alcohol are encouraged to drink in moderation, and not drink and drive.

Lahaina Halloween Express Shuttles will be departing from War Memorial Parking Lot in Wailuku and Kihei Aquatic Center Parking Lot in Kihei. Tickets are $10 each way and available online at www.visitlahaina.com.

Official “Halloween in Lahaina” T-shirts will arrive and be on sale at www.visitlahaina.com or at the Lahaina Visitor Center at the old Lahaina Courthouse. Street closures will begin on Wednesday, October 31st starting at 2pm from Baker Street to Prison Street.

Front Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 2pm to midnight. All vehicles must be removed from Front Street prior to 2pm to avoid towing.

At last check, The center of Lester was roughly 175 miles northeast of Kahului and still packing 100 mph hurricane forced winds.
