Hana is a remote and traditional village on the eastern side of Maui. The Road to Hana is a beautiful and winding 64-mile drive that leads you through flourishing rainforests, flowing waterfalls, plunging pools and dramatic seascapes. There are many spots along the way to stop and explore, so it’s recommended you take your time and plan out your trip beforehand.

In Hana, there are numerous outdoor wonders to experience, like the Hana Lava Tube or the Wailua Falls. Tour the open lavascape cave then travel to the Entabeni Garden, home to 400 types of exotic and tropical plants.  There are also some state parks with great sights. At the Waianapanapa State Park, there’s the Black Sand Beach, where the sand is made from hardened lava, often looking like smooth black pebbles.
